Aside from our work and research with the lions, we’re also heavily involved in other conservation initiatives in our areas.
Research within the Zambezi National Park, Victoria Falls
In conjunction with the Parks and Wildlife Management Authority of Zimbabwe, we conduct game counts within the park monthly along the same transects to monitor game populations. We also monitor large predators including hyena, carry out entomology surveys, bird surveys and other conservation efforts.
National Parks resources can at times be limited and so by assisting in this game count they are able to keep ongoing records of game populations within the Park.

Conservation Education in Primary Schools, Victoria Falls
We have implemented a conservation education teaching syllabus in local schools as part of the project and to meet our wider goals working with African communities.
Volunteers and staff are responsible for planning a lesson to take place including deciding on the material to be included in the lesson taken from our conservation education syllabus.
Lion Research, Victoria Falls
Various research initiatives are ongoing, but look at play behaviour, behaviour enrichment, hunting abilities, social interaction and pride structure.
